For the past 11 plus months this site has been the target of hackers and scoundrels. They successfully made my system to crash twice - the second attack was quite severe and I have only partially recovered.
Their modus operandi is to download all the junk in your system to slow it down and plug in their computers free, as you go on paying the bills - with the help of landline Internet Service Providers (ISPs), who are no less guilty. These freeloaders could be criminals or terrorists - only God knows. But the laws on cyberspace crimes in my country are childish, to say the least and difficult to enforce.
The laws which can be enforced in my country are also generally not enforced.
So it is a big marry go round for criminals and other unsocial elements.
Helplessness and frustration is the order of the day for the law abiding and gentle community.

- Have a confession to make. My name is grammatically wrong in any Indian vernacular language. It should be written and pronounced Sukumar Mahajan. Did B.Com. from Delhi University in 1973. Did Advanced Journalism from Regents Institute, London, in 1963. Both courses were done through correspondence. Diplome de Langue from L'Alliance Francaise de Delhi in 1986. Publications : Artices, short stories and newspaper paras published in various papers and journals. First Urdu novelette, Jasoos Vakil (Detective Advocate), personlly published in early 1950s. Worked in a leading English daily from January, 1960, to December, 1997. In between there were assignments with TOPIC,London,in 1962; & AP & UPI during UNCTAD II in New Delhi in 1968. Started Homoeopathy in 1997. A journalilst by profession and a Homoeopath by hobby. First more than the latter, always.
